The seven sacraments
The first sacrament of initiation, by which a person is freed from sin and reborn as a child of God. Parents seeking Baptism for their child should contact the parish office to arrange the date and the required preparation.
Also called Confession, the sacrament of God’s mercy and forgiveness. Confessions are heard before Mass and by appointment; please ask a priest or the parish office.
The source and summit of the Christian life, received at Mass. Children are prepared for their First Holy Communion through the parish catechism programme.
The sacrament that strengthens the baptised with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Candidates are prepared through the parish catechism and confirmed by the Bishop.
The sacrament in which a man and woman commit to a lifelong covenant of love. Couples should approach the parish office at least a few months before the intended date to complete the marriage preparation required by the Archdiocese.
The sacrament of healing and grace for those who are seriously ill, elderly, or facing surgery. Please contact the parish office so a priest can visit. Do not wait until the last moment.
The sacrament through which men are ordained as deacons, priests, and bishops to serve the Church. Speak with one of the priests if you feel called to a vocation.
